Course Related Questions
Can I attend these seminars?
For our BOTOX® and Dermal Filler courses:
The BOTOX® and Dermal Filler training courses are designed with medical professionals in mind. We invite Physicians (MD &DO), Registered Nurses (RN), Nurse Practitioners (NP), Physician Assistants (PA), and Dentists (DDS & DMD) to enroll today.
An Important Note on Eligibility:
MEI strongly recommends that you contact your state’s licensing board to learn about your state’s regulations prior to enrollment. While you are eligible to attend our seminars, acceptance does not grant you the authority to perform procedures post-training.
How much hands-on training will I get in a medical aesthetics training course?
We aim to provide the most hands-on experience to our students. That’s why we keep class sizes small (10 people max) and limit the number of live patients present. Live patients do come to our seminars with particular requests that may require more time than other procedures. That being said, the interactive portion of our seminars earn the best reviews from past students. While MEI cannot guarantee a certain number of injections, we strive to make sure you walk away feeling confident and capable.
How many students are enrolled in each medical aesthetic certification class?
Medical aesthetic training class size is limited to 10 participants to maximize one-on-one time with the instructor.
What are the instructors’ credentials?
All of our instructors are independent contractors who perform aesthetic medical procedures in their own successful practices. Our friendly and experienced instructors are working Physicians, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants with diverse specialties (e.g. family practice, internal medicine, dermatology, etc). If you want more information about a specific instructor, please determine the class and time/date you’d like to attend first. Then you can simply call the MEI corporate office for more details at (512) 308-6404. We’re always happy to assist!
What are the certification requirements?
There are no national requirements for our certification, but you should check with your malpractice carrier to determine if they have specific requirements. If you’re having difficulty with your malpractice carrier, the MEI corporate office is happy to provide a list of insurance brokers that specialize in the field of aesthetics.
Do I earn any CME credits with MEI training courses?
MEI's dental course is both recognized by the ADA/CERP and AGD/PACE for up to 7.5 CE. Dental Clinicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Registration Related Questions
What is the deadline for the training course registration?
There are no deadlines for registration, but classes are filled on a first come, first served basis. Some classes, like our botulinum toxin (BOTOX®, Dysport and Xeomin, and Juveau) training courses, fill up well in advance, so we suggest that you register as soon as possible. Participant spots are reserved upon receipt of payment.
How and when do I have to pay for the training course?
To secure a spot, you must pay a $500 deposit upon registering. The full balance is due three days prior to the seminar. You’re welcome to pay with a credit card online or by fax (512) 308-6404, or you can mail a check to our corporate office.
Please make your check payable to [MEI] and send it to our corporate office:

Can you provide a discounted room rate for a nearby hotel?

What is your cancellation and refund policy?
Cancellations must be received at least 21 days prior to the start of the training course and are subject to a $150 cancellation fee. Cancellations must be received in writing by email (info@medicalestheticinstitute.com) or by certified U.S. Mail (P.O. Box 1794 Manchaca, TX 78652). No refunds will be made for requests received after that time. However, if you must cancel within the 21-day period, and you give at least a 72-hour notice, you will have one year from the date of the seminar to transfer your registration fee to another location. If you do not transfer your registration fees to another location by the end of that one-year mark, then you won’t be eligible for a refund. If you do not give at least 72-hour notice, then you are considered a no-show; as such, no refund or transfer of registration fees will be offered. All eligible refunds will be issued in the same form the payment was made.
